Bedmill was formed in 2003 as part of the Europa group with the aim of retailing modern and contemporary beds in a generation of online shopping which can be done from the comfort of one’s own home. We are a state of art Uk bed manufacturers.

Due to the busy lifestyles that people occupy, the Bedmill division was created as an effortless resource for consumers by retailing directly to them. This enabled Bedmill to branch out and penetrate a niche in the industry, in a period of high rise apartments and open plan living, by targeting specific clients at the higher end of the market. It resulted in the capability of streamlining our process by using the established 'Europa Beds' as the bed manufacturers in uk and Bedmill as the online furniture store/retailer.

The name 'Bedmill' derived from the company's location in the centre of Batley, West Yorkshire; a town associated with the shoddy trade during the Victorian age and famous for its mills which have been converted into classy home-living and trendy interior design stores. This includes Redbrick Mill - home to over 40 cutting-edge retailers of furniture, art and great design.

History

Europa Beds is a family run business that has a history of over 30 years' manufacturing experience in the bedding industry. It started off as a wholesaler, trading directly to high street stores nationwide, but now also functions as a supplier to Bedmill. Having begun with a small workforce, the company expanded in the market and now has thirty committed employees in the factory and offices.

Our manufacturing facility and offices are located in a renovated mill and Sunday school resulting in approximately 24,000 sq. ft. of area being available for staff to carry out work in. The dedicated personnel operate tirelessly to ensure that the highest standards are maintained and quality control procedures are followed in order for the products to reach our clientele in perfect condition through our own distribution network.

As the younger generation of family members became involved in the company, new and innovative ideas began to be introduced. Although the trusted time-honoured techniques are still being used, it entered into a new era of modernisation by investing in the latest state-of-the-art machinery and new Research and Development facilities. The diversification into new fields, including Bedmill's online retailing and in-house interior designing, meant that bespoke products including beds, mattresses and headboards are being constructed for each individual. Essentially, the bed has become a showpiece and focus of attention, therefore not only is there a desire for it to feel tranquil but it also needs to look exceptional as well.

We are currently on a programme of rejuvenation by building 2 showroom studios; a contemporary and a modern for potential customers to visit and seek advice. This should give people a clearer picture of what to expect in their own homes.
